Rugby League Player Menus

Rugby League Player Menus

Project Overview

Tackling Hunger was a school meal prep campaign for families during the February Half Term. The client, Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation, wanted to raise the profile of the main Rugby League Club’s first-team players with a foody twist.

The ‘Player Menus’ or menu cards are a creative and fun approach to showcase a player’s favourite dish to prep and cook. The menu cards actively promote the profile of that particular player, the branding of the club and the Foundation and raise the awareness of tackling hunger within the local community.

The Solution

Rugby League Player Menu Card

Our Visual team tackled this project by incorporating a roadmap diagram to showcase each step as a flowing process and to make each player the centrepiece of the menu card.

As there were six players that provided their special dishes and step-by-steps, the Strategy team created a schedule plan to publish each menu card at 11 am each day throughout the February Half Term and finished the week with a downloadable PDF cookbook.

The Results

The Insights team were able to determine how successful each player’s menu card preform. From the analysis and statistics exported from social media and Google Analytics, it became more apparent that the Player with the highest status had the more engagement and reach that player’s menu card received.

The downloadable cookbook received over 100 downloads within a week of being published.
